Seville has excellent land and air communications that allow easy and comfortable access to the city, whatever the chosen means of transport.

By car

A good way to get to Seville is by road, as the capital has an extensive road infrastructure that includes a number of motorways and highways. It is worth mentioning the A-4, which connects Andalusia with Madrid, and the A-66, which reaches Merida and connects with the A-5, which also reaches Madrid. Granada and the Costa del Sol are connected to the capital of Seville by the A-92 motorway. To Portugal, it will be necessary to take the A-49 motorway. Finally, Seville and Cadiz are linked by both the A-4 and the E-5. All exits to the motorways and national highways start from the SE-30 ring road, which surrounds the city and has numerous entrances to the urban core.

By plane

The airport is located ten kilometers north of the city, next to the A-4 highway. Its facilities were designed by the prestigious Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. At present, almost five million travelers use this airport every year, most of them coming from other Spanish cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao or Valencia. When traveling from the airport to the city center, you can opt for the taxi or a special bus service, which connects the Plaza de Armas, in the center of the city, with the airport, with intermediate stops such as Train station and AVE of Santa Justa. The trip takes approximately 35 minutes. The price of the single ticket is € 4 and the return ticket € 6. They can be bought on board the bus. The taxi ride is another way to get to the center of Seville from the airport and vice versa. The journey takes about 30 minutes and the cost is 20-25 €, depending on the traffic and your final destination. The taxi rank is just in front of the terminal.

By bus

The city has two bus stations. The main one is the Plaza de Armas, as it hosts numerous national and international daily journeys. Meanwhile, in the "Prado de San Sebastián" bus station, regular regional lines operate.

By train

Since 1992, Seville has the high-speed AVE train. This train makes about twenty daily journeys (each way) between Seville and Madrid, with a duration of around two and a half hours. The AVE also connects with Barcelona, passing through Zaragoza, in about five and a half hours and Valencia in just under four hours. Santa Justa Station is located on Kansas City Avenue, just a few minutes' walk from the Old Town. Seville also has other long-distance lines.
